NUMÉRO RUSSIA #55: Adriana Lima (1)

Adriana Lima has had a long career modeling. In the "Superwoman" editorial for Numero Russia (#55) issued in the fall season of 2019, the Brazilian goddess showcases her mature ability to be lensed tastefully while also relating a message about female empowerment. The world is going through a tremendous social change right now. Gender roles are being re-evaluated and equality is being demanded by women who have been shut out of many opportunities due to the prevailing gender bias that has been seen in every country and in every culture throughout the world. Women are often treated as if they are intellectually inferior and find it difficult to land the more distinctive decision-making roles that they so often seek when qualified. Women have been subjectified and limited to roles that only applaud their beauty instead of roles that commend their intellect.

Having both beauty and intellect can cause much grief for a supermodel wanting to play a role that embraces also her intangible traits. In this strong and sexy feature, Adriana Lima is photographed by George Livieratos while currently being represented by Elite Modeling Agency of Paris. She is draped in designs by Balenciaga, Roberto Cavalli and Fendi wearing a nice assortment of bold and upscale statement jewelry pieces.

NUMÉRO RUSSIA #55: Adriana Lima (2)

Adriana Lima loves the sport of boxing for women and has been featured quite often in various editorials throughout the years as such an athlete. She has advertised with the Victoria's Secret sports line of clothing using the boxing theme. In real life, she trains by incorporating boxing into her workout routine. It seems that to her, the physical strength of a woman if developed can be used forcefully for adequate self-protection. Well, at least that is how this particular editorial with Numero Russia in combination with the accompanying video editorial of the photoshoot comes across to me as a viewer of such admirable female strength. The detailing of the chains symbolizes a new era of women breaking free from male dominance and oppression. The white leather jacket that she wears by Fendi stands out to me as a spectacular wardrobe addition with the lattice cutout detailing.

MET Gala 2017: Adriana Lima

The annual MET Gala is always a much talked-about event in the fashion industry. It is held every year in New York at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City to mark the grand opening of the museum’s annual themed fashion event. This year’s theme was "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between" which brought much attention to the fashion design house of Comme des Garcons.

Comme des Garçons, in French means "like boys," is a Japanese fashion label founded by and headed by Rei Kawakubo. Comme des Garçons is based in Tokyo and also in the prestigious Place Vendôme in Paris. Beginning in May 2017, Rei Kawakubo was the subject of one of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's fashion exhibitions in New York. The Metropolitan Museum in New York's exhibition dedicated to Kawakubo was scheduled for the 2017 season from May 2017 through September 2017.

Adriana Lima looked absolutely gorgeous in a custom bodysuit and skirt made by Alberta Ferretti. She was not the only Victoria’s Secret angel in attendance at this year’s event. Gathered together for a photo were some of the other Victoria's Secret lingerie models: Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Joan Smalls and Behati Prinsloo. In comparison to the other megal models, Adriana Lima truly stood out as perhaps the most elegant and sophisticated overall. Just love those Giuseppe Zanotti sandal heels that she chose to rock with the black satin-like, thigh-high slitted skirt. She added just the right touch with a pair of stylish Chopard earrings.

Yes, a true fashion diva!

John Galliano FW 2002: Adriana Lima

Flashback to the year 2002 ... Adriana Lima strutting down the runway in a John Galliano fashion show in Paris. Very eccentric styling and theme. Just goes to show you Adriana's versatility. Love seeing her in these far out looks. Quite interesting ... even for Galliano!

V Magazine #76, Sports Issue: Adriana Lima vs. Doutzen Kroes

Wow! All I can say is, "Wow!"

Adriana Lima with the help of fellow Victoria's Secret model Doutzen Kroes and sexy boxer athlete Rob Evans killed it in this V Magazine #76 sports issue!!! Not very many magazine editorials move me the way that this editorial does. Just fierce! You can sure tell that Adriana takes boxing seriously. She has mentioned previously that she takes boxing lessons. Well, uhhh, no kidding! From the looks of these boxing fashion pics she really, really loves boxing and is passionate about it! Such a sexy hobby for her and I love the way she expresses herself in the video that accompanies the prints. Oooh, la la ... fashion photography at it's finest. And hats off to the stylist because the clothing that she and Doutzen rocks are super HOT and just totally on point. Nice. Very nice. I think that I am in love!
