Head fashion designer of Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, seems to be in a league of his own!

According to at least one online review, the fetish display of WWII-inspired fashion for the 2011 Fall/Winter season seems to be based off of the cult classic film "The Night Porter." This movie cleverly reveals the seductive happenings between a Nazi officer and a Holocaust survivor in a scandalous hotel setting. I just rented this film from Amazon and I don't really see the exact connection. However, I can agree that regardless of what Marc Jacob's motivation was for the runway concept, this is one fashion show that will leave a lasting impression for many more years to come. To add both legendary supermodels Kate Moss AND Naomi Campbell to the model lineup just leaves the audience in complete awe and intrigue.

Texan native songstress Beyoncé Knowles promotes being a feminist through her music. I am not truly convinced that she really embodies the spirit of a true feminist. However, it is apparent that she surely promotes positive black sisterhood.

In the Yoncé video that was released in 2014 with her video compilation of her self-titled album Beyoncé, she boldly features the three top Black fashion models in the world: Puerto Rican Joan Smalls, British Jourdan Dunn and American Chanel Iman. Even though these ladies have worked with each other in Vogue editorials and Victoria's Secret runway shows, it is quite challenging to have such a threesome work collectively on one project exuding an authentic comraderie. Although much progress has been made over the recent years, the fashion industry as a whole is still not quite as diversified as it should be. Whenever shows and campaigns only want to highlight one Black model at a time, it becomes naturally competitive for Black models to just simply work together. In these moments, to not allow the ugly spirit of jealousy to control the dynamics becomes often an unattainable goal.

It is so easy to be the only Black model featured because you tend to get all of the attention as the "ethnic one." But when you put three together it becomes a bit awkward because it just is not done often enough. Beyonce, with her love for sisterhood and desire for strong bonding among women, has just the right presence to pull it off!
