I have been away from my "normal life" trying to re-position myself in a third (hopefully final) career change. I survived Hurricane Harvey by spending a few months in Dallas. Now I am back in Houston … new residence … new laptop … and new hair-do! Yep, I am ready to blog again!!!
Let's kick it off with my last "unfinished blog" from last year. Rihanna teams up with Chopard to offer luxury jewelry with a trendy, modern appeal. Last year you could log on to the Chopard website and view the Rihanna Loves Chopard collection and purchase (if within your budget of course!) However I tried to access that link just now and it is no longer accessible. Ho hum!
Nonetheless, here are some of the photos that I was able to save from last year. Rihanna did not just lend her name to this jewelry collection: she helped co-design the stunning jewelry incorporating her Barbados roots with ethnic flair while also focusing her energy on the stand-out modern pieces that appeal to those with perhaps more modest taste.

2. Filmed by Steven Klein in the château and gardens of Versailles.
3. Showcases the soundtrack ("Only if for a Night") of the singer's intro to her eighth studio album, ANTIdiaRY.
4. The style of the Dior bag that Rihanna is carrying is the "Diorama" bag.
5. She is captured running through the Salons of the Gods.

Fresh off the runway ... yep, Rihanna stuntin' on 'em at the 2015 iHeartRadio Awards wearing the latest Versace. Ooh wee. Just diva fierce! She didn't earn the title "Style Icon" just by being ordinary.
The stage was set with a cool military helicopter in the center that she stepped out of with microphone in hand. She was surrounded by bad ass female dancers flossin' in shiny black leather trench coats, boots and headgear to match looking like they are part of some special military regime. These ready-for-anything dancers along with Rihanna's sassy moves helped bring to life her freshly debuted single 'Bitch Better Have My Money.' She sure did catch my attention with this hot performance!
And that Versace emerald green fur coat ... fresh off the 2015 Versace Fall/Winter runway along with the two-tone boots, choker and diva over-sized sunglasses. Monochrome dressing has always been a favorite look by top fashion designers. It is an eye-catching style worn only by those who are not afraid to stand out. Versace modernizes monochrome dressing with a touch of color-blocking added to the detailing of the two-tone boots that combines emerald green patent leather in the front and black suede in the back. Rihanna's stylist, Mel Ottenberg, emphasized the touch of color-blocking showcased with the Versace boots with a simple solid black tank dress by Adam Selman to balance out the look.
I have been waiting for Rihanna to drop something that would get me jamming again like she did when she dropped 'Fresh Off the Runway' from her last hit album entitled 'Unapologetic.' This time around she put a different spin on the sound and delivers the lyrics as if she was a hot, new fierce diva rapper. Songstress who ain't afraid to rap throughout the entire song. Well, sounds like rap to me and I love it especially delivered with her cute Barbados accent!
Yes, Miss Thang ... we welcome your new flavor as showcased at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards held at the historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on March 29, 2015. Rihanna's live performance stood out as perhaps the best of the evening. The message of the song was delivered with much swagger. I am always fascinated when the music world combines the fierceness of runway fashion with sassy lyrics, pulsating beats and wicked choreography to match because only then do you really get to enjoy live music entertainment at it's finest.
Rihanna, you have done it again! Just fabulous! Still the baddest bitch around. No doubt.
When I saw Rihanna on the cover of this month's Elle magazine, I had to purchase it. She looks simply fabulous on the cover and the editorial photos are breathtaking. She is one of the most fashionable celebrities right now. It just seems as if everything she does is on point. I am a true fan of hers ... I think she ROCKS both in the studio and in the world of the fashion elite.
